Stempf - Pony Farm in Heiligenblut

Relaxing on the farmin the National Park
Hohe Tauern Carinthia

The Stempf Farm with the accompanying holiday house called “Bergsee” is a holiday farm with ponys, horses and lots of animals for petting. It is located in Heiligenblut at the foot of the Grossglockner in Hohe Tauern National Park at the edge of a small mountain lake. It’s a place to flee the routines of everyday life, where you can ‘let go’ – that’s what we mean by relaxing on the farm.

This awaits you on holiday in Heiligenblut

Experience a farm

On the farm the small horses Sira, Arizona, Aron, Elmo, Flecki,  await you. Children big and small can go riding on them every day. Even the hens can be petted and held in your arms. Maybe you will find the very first egg in the morning?

Holidays in Winter

Alpine skiing, backcountry skiing tours, cross-country skiing, ice climbing, winter hiking, sledding, and more

Our farm and holiday house ‘Bergsee’ are located in the heart of the Heiligenblut-Grossglockner ski area – a secret tip for wintertime guests. There are numerous reasons for its uniqueness: nowhere else are winter sports loves nearer to the Grossglockner, Austria’s highest mountain. There are 55 km of groomed ski runs extending from 1300 to 3000 metres altitude, guaranteeing snow from mid-April, wide ski pistes and no waiting times at the lifts. From our farm you have direct access to the cross-country trails, a ski bus takes you to the cablecars (bus stop right in front of the house) and to the ski school in the center of the village.

Holidays in Summer

Hiking, mountain hiking, rock climbing, biking, whitewater rapids, panning for gold, and more

In summertime, enjoy the cloud dynamics swirling above the Grossglockner summit. Do yourself a favour: hike across the lush, green high alpine pastures bursting with radiant wildflowers. Savour views of marmottes, perhaps spot an eagle, bearded vulture, some chamoix, deer or other inhabitants of the Alps on the mountain flanks in the heart of the national park. After a fulfilling hike, plan a stopover at a mountain refuge with your family to enjoy a tasty Carinthian-style snack.
